Ciena is a great place to work, explore and make connections and overall grow in the IT industry. For the past year or so I've been part of Ciena, the best part I've felt is that its a company a person can settle and give years especially later in their career. The culture is very employee centric and there are many verticals to work and contribute. They are very flexible wit the timings and the managers and colleagues are very supportive. I am working as a remote employee and their remote program is one of the very best in the industry. Also there is very less micro-management in the company which is refreshing as people contribute and work on their hours they are comfortable with.

Dislikes

...rojects with very less development and the work at some times not much exciting. Also their is a lot of salary variation among people with same experience or job title.

... really hard to get those in real Working on little old technologies which other competitors have already implemented many years back Bonus and hike are almost same between an average and good working employee

Work culture is very decent, work life balance is good, compensation is good in market, avoiding processes which are disliked generally like daily timesheet, too much approvals, etc.

There is hardly anything to dislike in Ciena but if I have to add then international traveling option is less.

Absolutely No Job Security. They will hire you and they will fire you within a year and give reasons for market economics. They will not directly do that, they will force you to resign and will force you to serve a notice period as well.

Ciena is the best place to work with great work life balance, supportive work culture and competitive pay. I feel blessed to get to work on cutting edge technologies and collaborate with great leaders.

I am happy to work with Ciena and everyday is a new learning. It's almost been more than 2 years and I like everything about this company.
