No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

They have tie up with luxury makeup brands, which they change every month. instead of making us look presentable and decent and comfortable they force us to buy the exact brands which we can't even afford in this salary ; otherwise you receive warning letter. 4. All the values on social media & magazine is a scam. nothing is followed in reality. especially girl power is a joke here. no one values feedback & suggestions here. annual employee survey is a joke. if you dare to raise your voice you will be terminated or somehow manipulated to resign one way or the other as they will start looking for mistakes in you only. 5. We face permanent & irreversible health issues(bone deformity due to wearing heels, miscarriages, hair line receding , acne & other issues due to makeup). 6. No matter how sick you are, you should come & visit the base doctor who is not even available 24*7 at base . had i been keeping well i would not have reported sick in the first place. 7. Leads, core leads, check leads, managers & base executives all have prior flying experience as a crew. they don't take our concerns to higher management or help us with our problems instead tell us that they have also faced the same issues so we also have to. 8. People mentioned above in 6th point are experts in talking behind back and spreading bad word, seeking personal whereabout information and details of each other ,taking screenshots of informal chats and sharing it with higher management. there are things which are SOP deviation and unethical too( some might say )which they all have done but once they became senior they now make sure others should not be able to do it at any cost. people rightly say women are each other's biggest enemy. 9. Everybody here has an ongoing affair with almost anyone & everyone here. they don't even spare the drivers - cleaners imagine. 10. The uniform quality & availability is purposefully degraded so that you buy more frequently. 11. They expect you to be groomed all the time flawlessly, smelling fresh even after 4 sectors , not even a single hair should be out ,having long nails and ironed tunic with no lint and at the same time expect you to pick trash and clean washroom and serve water and food also with the same hands simultaneously. 12. They make changes last minute in our roster sometimes even without informing hampering our rest also. and if we want help our calls are never picked up , mails & messages are ignored saying that their rest period is going on and we should contact them later. 13. Crew is always asked to follow rules and abide by the guidelines like weight check and grooming etc. whereas the seniors always go unnoticed or easily escape from actions against them as they have contacts in higher management. 14. No one here has values like respect, and self realisation or remorse. nobody is ready to accept their mistakes. seniors treat new comers and juniors like the way they want to and they brag about it too. they feel proud if somebody reports sick seeing their name. employee rights are joke. 15. Indigo hires all female crew as they are easy to manipulate, fool and they are unable to take stand or be united for the right things. also people are dumb enough to join just for the sake of layovers, destinations and allowance money. they realise that the dark reality is not even close to what they all show in vlogs and movies hence they resign within a month as they have zero resilience and skills to keep up with this job profile.

IndiGo, exploit it's employees a lot. Since, It is an Indian organization which promotes tireless work culture. Therr is no work life balance. You have to sacrifice your personal life and deteriote the mental health. The published IndiGo values are bogus. It is not implemented on ground level. It is just to make a goodwill in the market. CX team and it's leaders are arrogant and unhelpful. HRs are also biased. There is no value and respect of employees in IndiGo. The culture is worser than any BPO/KPO. There is no growth and learning enhancement. It is better to opt any desired BPO or KPO, which are doing much better than IndiGo.

Nothing , promotion pyramid is very sloppy, you can't survive with your current designation CTC.

1) salary is pathetic. 13/100 2) Hectic work . -40/100 3) This can't be your dream job , people lie on your face . 4) work life balance = Big Zero 5) skill devlopment = what skill Development ! if you are starving in the middle of the month. 6) salary = Company is so shamelessly joking with their staff , 36k after 10 years ?? Is this a salary ?? -500/100 7) Company Culture = no one cares for culture !! Culture is how you live , it just can't be imposed by few LMS . 18/100 8) Promotion = i really beleive in quality of work , promotion is a byproduct. You really need promotion if you want to live , otherwise you will remain a slave . But the space btwn low level to upper level is very sloppy. Don't waste your time and don't believe HR , you are only a Fuel here . 2/100 9) work satisfaction = -200/100 I hope I explained you the ground reality. TC .

Dislikes

The work culture is extremely toxic. There is no personal growth. While taking entitled sick leaves, one needs to mandatorily provide a doctor's certificate even if its just a headache and report to the office for "Verification" on the same day. Employees are required to prove that they are sick by visiting the office in-person as a doctor's certificate itself isn't enough.
