GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on-site travel is completely dependent on your project and client’s location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a B1 visa quickly. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

Nothing is okay. Internally employees are frustrated.

Dislikes

... much internal politics 2. HR is almost unreachable 3. Rampant favouritism 4. No salary hike for consecutive 3 years 5. You can almost forget about receiving a bonus 6. Many older employees stick to outdated practices and are unwilling to upgrade themselves 7. Mandatory 5 days in office, 45 hours mandatory in a week 8. You will be made to work like a slave - after completing 9 hours at the office, you will end up to stay up deploying until 4-5am from home, and still be expected to join on time next day for another full 9 hours shift 9. No cab for women employees even after 8 pm 10. No compoff for extra effort - nothing at all

...ound 13hrs to 15hrs in a day. We can't get the time to spend with loved ones. 3.unnecessary deductions will happen from salary, moreover they deduct 46k from CTC for medical insurance for only 5lakhs coverage, this medical insurance we can buy at the cost of around 8K from the outside. 4.functional head Mr.Ramana surabhi is egoistic candidate, he targets some employees personally and he corners that employees in every teams call and use abusive language. & if any candidate eligible for higher position he can't give the approval always he wants hire the candidates in CSL position only.

The opportunities that were provided were good. But there's no backing up for those opportunities by the managers.

Dislikes

The salary discrepancy is very high. Even the juniors from your same university with same experience might get paid more even though you have more experience. There's not much credibility for your work as well.

Jio provides you with decent work life balance with enough time to pursue your interests & is good enough with job stability as well.

...jectory planning whatsoever, promotions are just random & hardly prevelant even. The compensation too is quite low as per market standards & that's a bummer for a company of this size.
