No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Overall it was a good experience working as an iOS developer in Myforexeye. all the team mates are good and supportive. But the management staff is very poor. specially the current project manager. you simply can't tolerate the project manager with a dirty politics in his mind. Basically a Project Manager plays a major role in any company's or employee's growth. But in this company the project manager is the guy who plays a very dirty politics just for his personal satisfaction and he shows that he is doing it for the employee's benefits. So overall my team mates were good and even the office culture is good, boss is also good. but I'll suggest the company to change the IT Project Manager. other wise all is good.

IT Project Manager!!! If anyone want to join Myforexeye just stay away from the Project Manager. or else find a new job. but not this..
