Freshers - Never ever join Samsung Data Systems. You will be moulded into a dump slave with no creativity and zero analytical thinking. Exception - Join not for more than a year, don’t put much efforts in the project(they don’t require that from you) , keep your head down, hustle and join other better companies. Now begins the real deal. Infrastructure so poor, there is no allocated sitting space in office. Somedays are so bad you may even need to bring your own chair from your house to sit(as they have done for water bottles). Managers are busy in managing the sitting space, granting approvals instructing on how to take approvals, instruct on how to complete the LinkedIn learning . Such brain dead people will overshadow you and your work. There is no such work which would not even require your 10% focus as there are no such projects in this company which would require development skills. They hire developers to make excel sheets and documentations. Managers over here make group chats for instructing to complete LinkedIn Learning and to submit your own rating. Funny thing is you rate yourself in this company, which is overridden by mangers rating. Half of your day goes in the approval process and another half goes into listening and following the brain rot policies of the managers and company. So when do we work? There is nothing to work upon, Technology wise SDS is a decade back. Even if there is a single work everyone over here wants to have the credit for that work. They will get credit, they will get appraisals. Even after working for couple of years you will be considered junior over here. The process of this company is too slow. You will become slow yourself. Management over is very less concerned about the projects, but more concerned about the timings(9 hours in office policy, 6 hours on screen time). What will you be doing for 6 hours, scrolling the emails and working on excels. Samsung SDS is not a product based company, but its a service based. They don’t have external clients but Samsung Electronics is their only client. This explains why they have very few projects. You can join Samsung SDS if you have your own side hustle, as working here is not fun. This company wants “Zombies” not employees, who are braindead like them and can sit for 9 hours without any work.

Already written a review but wanted to add something... This company openly discriminates male and female employees.... Men are free to work late night till they wish to but for women they dont allow staying more than 7PM....I just who is making this kind of policy and if they care so much about women then why dont they start a cab service.. management itself is living in 20th century

...gaon then you may like the office location. Its located at cybercity, Gurugram. Salary on time. Quarterly parties but there is a catch. Party space is very small and there is no such varieties of food available. But yes unlimited drinks. Few Colleagues are friendly but few are rude. 200₹ per day as meal voucher only if you come to office. Broadband reimbursement.

Strict 9 hours work policy. If some day you want to leave office early you can’t because there is strict 9 hours a day work policy. Minimum 3 days WFO policy. Worst work life balance. Its korean company so you have to start your day at sharp 8:30 and due to so much work you have to have exceed till 7. Sometimes even 11-12. Biggest drawback is there is no parking space available. You have to search other places or commute by public transport. They don’t even provide cab facility and lunch or snacks just a ccd coffee machine. You wont even get your personal bay or cubicle or drawers. There is no enough space available to sit and work inside office as well. Management wants everyone to be in office atleast 3 days but couldn’t arrange desk and chair. Managers wont let you sit in meeting rooms. They are reserved for koreans. They use packaged drinking water which is not good for environment. They will give you 60-70 sheets of paper to sign on policies but couldn’t go for e-sign or digital docs. To access basic email or chat you have to perform several actions which is very tiring and irritating. They dont use ms teams or outlook. They have their own chat and email which doest save your chats more than 5 days and emails 30 days. They will force you to put a sticker on all cameras of phone so you won’t take any picture inside office. No mobile bill reimbursement. There are no games or any cool stuff in office. You won’t get any feeling that you are working in good service based company. You heard it correct its a service based company i.e Samsung data system Not SAMSUNG electronics. Most people falls in this trap. They thought they are going to work in a product based company but actually its a service based. I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a company in which you work + enjoy other activities. You can join if you are a learner and wont think much about perks and facilities.

Dislikes

0 professional growth, new teams built are on learning phase so they lack in decision making and people play politics here. Work satisfaction is on minus, They don't care what you capable of and why they hired you, you can be chained to any team your so called seniors decide. Company culture is not nice. Koreans are way much better than Indian employees. I think people should learn what company truly stands for and abide by the culture.
