Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

The juniors here are good and some seniors give support as well. Salary is not bad. And I don't have to worry about my job security constantly.

Dislikes

Appraisal and Promotion is bad. And most of the seniors here are here for 10 to 15 years, but not junior stays more than 3 years and even that is relatively rare. Guess why.

Salary on time.

Dislikes

Senior behaves like they bought you from market and paying salary from their pocket. Old system using, many projects are doesn't have CI/CD pipelines. Worst sandwich policy for paid leaves. They give just 10% of WFH based on employees working days.

Dislikes

Many inter relative persons are there on top without knowledge. In my department, we have a relative of top management who doesn't know even Ms Excel. If you praise relative then you will get better. If you offence for anything which can be related project or leave to relative then you will get in trouble. There is a fundamental for increment that if you will get 5000 of increment then they will add 2000 from that amount to bonus, and that bonus amount will creadite to your account in 6 month cycle. If you resign from company with all procedure and valid notice period still you will not get last cycle bonus amount. Personal cellphone not allowed with you. Need to keep it in allocated locker before enter to your work place. Means you are disconnected from out side world.

- 5 days week. - Salary for freshers.

  • Promotions - Good

Dislikes

- Poor & biased management. - Appraisal isn't based on your performance. - Outdated infrastructure: Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server 2008, Open office. - Maximum 2 remote days in the whole month. - Too many conditions on the leave policy. - No room for self improvement. - Mobile phone usage restrictions. - Too many blocked websites. - Compensate or manage spent hours in the festival celebration. - Complete 9 hours on a daily basis but the company says it is flexible.

Tbh, nothing!

Dislikes

No growth and no appraisals for your work. Managers will take all the credit for your work and wouldn't even pass on a good review to the higher authorities which in turn affects your appraisal. Also, terrible work environment, men gossip and spread rumours about female employees making it impossible for them to coordinate with colleagues.
