Client Onboarding and Risk Mitigation

• Own client onboarding process to mitigate risk through a due diligence process
• Participate in conducting client due diligence processes, research and identify opportunities to mitigate risk
• Review and analyze client onboarding processes or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
• Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) Compliance process for commercial banking processes in line with regulations

Due Diligence Execution and Reporting

• Support business in execution of due diligence reporting processes and controls
• Compile and evaluate report results and escalate when necessary
• Conduct comprehensive research and/or background investigations to identify and mitigate associated risks
• Provide subject matter expertise on due diligence documentation requirements and data sources

Compliance and Governance

• Ensure compliance with guidelines set forth in federal/state anti-money laundering laws and regulations
• Consult and provide support to interpret policies, guidelines, and governance programs
• Lead or participate in projects and initiatives with high risk to identify, assess, and mitigate BSA/AML risk
• Exercise independent judgment to guide moderate to high-risk deliverables

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers, and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise
• Act as a focal point for escalated issues and assist in department guidance
• Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs with cross-functional business partners
