Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with 57 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, along with a solid understanding of both batch and online processing. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe applications based on business requirements

- Perform enhancements, maintenance, and support activities for existing applications

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal business impact

- Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and compliance with coding standards

- Work collaboratively with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver integrated solutions

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment processes

- Participate in planning and estimation discussions for project delivery

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS

- Experience with VSAM, TSO/ISPF

- Proficient in using tools such as File-AID, Abend-AID, and Expeditor

- Experience in both batch and online processing environments

- Knowledge of version control tools like Endevor or Changeman

- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

- Exposure to mainframe modernization or migration projects

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, etc.)

- Understanding of integration with modern technologies (e.g., APIs, web services)
