Role Overview

Provide decisive academic and administrative leadership for all undergraduate computer-science programmesB.Tech. in CSE, AI & ML, Data Science, Cyber-Security, and related tracks. The Dean will champion high-quality teaching, vibrant research, and efficient, policy-driven operations across the school.

Core Responsibilities

• Administrative Excellence (Primary Focus)
  
• Drive budgeting, scheduling, faculty workload allocation, and regulatory compliance (NAAC/NBA).
• Oversee ERP/SIS-enabled processes for admissions, assessment, and record-keeping.
• Lead faculty performance reviews and professional-development planning.

• Academic Leadership
  
• Chair the Board of Studies; keep curricula industry-aligned and outcome-based.
• Promote pedagogical innovation, experiential learning, and continuous syllabus renewal.

• Research & Scholarship
  
• Cultivate a research-oriented culture—encourage proposals, publications, and intellectual property creation.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary projects and collaborations with external partners.

• Student Success & Outreach
  
• Ensure robust academic advising, grievance redressal, and placement support.
• Represent the school in rankings, accreditation visits, and academic conferences.

Ideal Profile

• PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or closely related field from a Tier-1 institution (IIT, IISc, NIT, BITS, or internationally equivalent).
• 15+ years in higher education, with at least 5 years in senior academic administration (Professor, HoD, Associate Dean, or Dean).
• Demonstrated success managing large CS departments or multi-programme schools.
• Proven track record of high-quality teaching, peer-reviewed publications, and externally funded projects.
• Strong governance, resource-planning, and change-management skills; data-driven decision-maker; persuasive communicator.
