Mainframe Developer - DB2/COBOL (4-8 yrs)

Must Have :

Strong AMS Experience, Strong ITIL knowledge, COBOL, IMS DB, IMS DC, VSAM, DB2 View Direct/INFOPAC) - Mobius for z/OS

Experience : 3.5 - 8 yrs

Location : Kolkata

Role and Responsibilities :

- Develop maintain and enhance Mainframe based applications and systems using languages like COBOL PLI Assembler or REXX

- Manage Mainframe databases such as DB2 IMS DB or IDMS ensuring data integrity and optimal performance

- Monitor and support batch job scheduling systems eg CA7 ControlM and resolve issues promptly

- Perform system analysis debugging and optimization for existing applications

- Work closely with business teams to gather and translate requirements into technical designs

- Conduct system testing implementation and documentation for new or modified applications

- Perform system and application migrations upgrades and patching activities when necessary

- Collaborate with the infrastructure team for performance tuning capacity planning and troubleshooting

- Implement security best practices to ensure system integrity and data protection

- Provide technical support for endusers and stakeholders ensuring system availability and reliability
