About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Splunk Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise monitoring strategies using Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of IT operations, service management, and the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into robust Splunk ITSI solutions, particularly within cloud environments.
The Splunk Architect will play a critical role in defining monitoring roadmaps, designing intricate service models, and ensuring the successful adoption of Splunk ITSI across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Enterprise Monitoring Strategy : Design and champion enterprise-wide monitoring strategies leveraging Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) to provide comprehensive operational visibility and service health insights.
- Splunk ITSI Architecture : Architect, design, and optimize Splunk ITSI solutions, focusing on service modelling, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) creation, aggregation policies, and the development of intuitive glass tables and dashboards.
- Cloud Environment Expertise : Provide architectural guidance and design solutions specifically tailored for cloud-based Splunk environments, with a strong emphasis on Splunk Cloud Platform.
- Monitoring Transformation : Lead and contribute to monitoring transformation initiatives and roadmap definition projects, acting as a key consultant and subject matter expert.
- Service Dependency Mapping : Model and visualize complex service dependencies across multi-domain platforms to ensure accurate service health reporting and impact analysis.
- Data Analysis & KPI Development : Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, define, and prioritize critical KPIs and establish appropriate thresholds for proactive service health monitoring.
- Technical Documentation & Communication : Produce high-quality technical documentation, architectural designs, presentations, and comprehensive handover materials for both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Proactively engage with cross-functional teams, business units, and leadership to gather requirements, validate designs, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Methodology & Standards : Apply and refine proven methodologies or frameworks for roadmap definition, service modelling, and solution delivery, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon timelines, milestones, and documentation standards.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with project team members, including Splunk Developers, and internal teams across multiple business units, demonstrating flexibility to work across different time zones when required.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 8+ years of extensive experience in IT operations, monitoring, and Splunk technologies, with a significant focus on Splunk ITSI.
- Proven expertise in designing enterprise monitoring strategies using Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
- Demonstrated ability to create intricate service trees, KPI models, and health score frameworks within complex IT environments.
- Extensive experience working with cloud-based Splunk environments, specifically the Splunk Cloud Platform.
- Strong consulting background with a track record in monitoring transformation or roadmap definition projects.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure and application monitoring concepts (servers, middleware, databases, applications, APIs).
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Splunk ITSI-based projects.
- Experience in working with enterprise-scale clients within regulated or mission-critical environments.
Qualifications & Certifications (Strongly Preferred) :
- Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) Certified Admin
- Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
- Splunk Core Certified Consultant (if applicable)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Desired Attributes & Capabilities :
- Exceptional ability to deliver the complete design package remotely, including leading workshops, conducting interviews, and producing comprehensive documentation.
- Possession of or access to certified consultants or architects with specialized experience in service tree design and ITSI roadmap creation.
- A proven methodology or framework for roadmap definition and service modelling.
- Strong commitment to meeting agreed-upon timelines, milestones, and documentation standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical and business audiences.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different time zones and collaborate seamlessly with diverse internal teams
