Senior Member of Technical Staff - Backend Development

We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff SMTS to join our Engineering team within our Pune division. Your job will be to ensure that the scale and quality of the software that meets the requirements of customers and other stakeholders working with the Product Management team and the User Experience Team. You will work with other teams to ensure a coherent, forward looking product features. But enough about us; lets talk about you.

You are a developer who is well versed in back end technologies for API development and savvy in building highly available and resilient large-scale applications. You will be responsible for technical leadership, building solutions, coaching and mentoring the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce detailed and accurate design artifacts
• Follow agile methodology for software development
• Estimate the size of development tasks in story points estimation  
• Understand and follow coding conventions, with design & architecture best practices and adhere to story definition of done
• Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes  
• Perform peer code reviews in order to ensure quality standards
• Collaborate with various Core Engineering teams to understand interfaces, dependencies and inter-operability.

Typical Qualifications

• 5 – 7 years of overall experience in developing, delivering large scale software applications (SaaS and on-premises)
• Rich experience of java stack (Java, Spring, Hibernate) and non-blocking asynchronous programming (vertx preferred)
• Exposure to various cloud technologies (AWS, Terraform etc.)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, docker and RESTful api development.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks like JUnit, Selenium, Rest Assured, Mocha and Chai etc.
• Exposure to build and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git, BitBucket etc.)
