Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Identify growth opportunities within your territory and develop action plans to drive sales and market penetration.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to anticipate challenges and leverage opportunities.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Conduct performance reviews, set clear targets, and provide continuous coaching and feedback to improve team effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring that your team follows sales processes and achieves targets consistently.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, clients, and business partners in your area.
- Engage with customers regularly to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer retention.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports on a regular basis to senior management.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust as necessary.
- Review and approve sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Market Expansion & Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and channels within your area, ensuring sustained growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
- Leverage industry insights and customer feedback to introduce new products or services to the market.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure that sales activities are aligned with the companys operational processes, policies, and compliance standards.
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of sales plans.
- Oversee inventory and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
What You Will Bring:
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in sales management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar industry (FMCG, Pharma, Tech, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of territory management, market penetration strategies, and sales forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and other sales-related software for reporting and performance tracking.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and customer feedback to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Willingness to travel within the designated area as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification in sales, marketing, or business management.
- Experience in managing key accounts and working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of digital sales tools and platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in managing a diverse team across multiple regions.
