Role & Responsibilities

1. Contract Understanding: Study agreements with contractors, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure clarity on deliverables and expectations.
2. Billing Coordination: Understand project billing aspects from the Construction Manager / Project Manager and communicate billing procedures to contractors for timely submissions.
3. Verification of Works: Verify billed items for actual execution on site, cross-check quantities, and ensure measurement accuracy.
4. Specification Compliance: Check billed items against contract specifications, makes, work procedures, and approved billing rates.
5. Certification Process: Verify work done and submit Certificate of Payment (COP) with accurate quantities and rates to the Construction Manager for approval.
6. Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile billing discrepancies with contractors and support them with required documentation for any price variations or escalations.
7. Extra Items: Perform rate analysis and submit recommendations for extra items with supporting documents and COP to the Construction Manager.
8. Documentation & Records: Maintain updated site records including Measurement Books, Abstract Books, Field Level Books, and contractor advance records.
9. Project Closure: Ensure timely preparation and acceptance of final bills from contractors as part of the project closeout.
10. Reporting: Keep the Construction Manager updated on all billing activities and maintain seamless communication throughout the billing cycle.
    

Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates must have prior experience in the Real Estate industry and should be proficient in SAP for billing and documentation.
The ideal Billing Engineer should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, time management, and effective communication.
They must be capable of verifying and processing billing documents, conducting reconciliation, coordinating with contractors for resolution of billing issues, and supporting project billing from initiation to finalization.
