Data Architect - Azure Cloud (10-15 yrs)

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-grade data platforms on the Azure cloud. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure's modern data ecosystem, including real-time streaming, big data processing, data lakes, and advanced analytics.

This is a key strategic role responsible for defining the architectural blueprint and driving the transformation of legacy data platforms into cloud-native, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement enterprise-scale Azure Data Architectures, including Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Streaming Analytics, and Advanced Analytics Platforms.

- Lead architecture design sessions, develop proof-of-concepts, and define cloud data strategies aligned with business needs.

- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical architecture and design.

- Architect, implement, and optimize data integration and data flow pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Streaming Analytics.

- Lead the implementation of real-time and batch processing solutions using Azure Streaming Analytics, Databricks, and Cosmos DB.

- Ensure the Azure Data Platform is secure, scalable, and cost-optimized, leveraging best practices.

- Guide and mentor engineering teams on best practices related to Azure data stack, including architecture governance.

- Participate in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data platform components.

- Create and maintain documentation of system architecture, design patterns, data flows, and standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10-15 years of total experience in data management, data architecture, and enterprise data solutions.

- 5+ years of recent experience architecting solutions on the Azure Data Platform.

- Proven expertise in the Azure data stack.

- Experience designing and scaling real-time big data pipelines and streaming analytics solutions.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and data pipeline optimization.

- Hands-on experience working with large-scale data environments and high-throughput streaming workloads.

- Familiarity with security, compliance, and governance within cloud-based data environments.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft Azure certifications

- Experience in enterprise analytics transformation, data modernization, or legacy-to-cloud migrations

- Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, and metadata management
