Sourcing Manager - Steel/EPC/OEM/Automotive/Building Materials Sector (10-13 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead and manage the procurement and sourcing activities for our steel-related operations in Bangalore and Raipur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management in a B2B environment, particularly in the steel, EPC, OEM, automotive, or building materials sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the procurement process from vendor identification to negotiation and onboarding.

- Handle MSME steel procurement enquiries and manage sourcing for steel raw materials effectively.

- Build and execute sourcing strategies and category management plans to optimize costs and vendor performance.

- Drive supplier development initiatives and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability and consistency in steel supply.

- Negotiate contracts to achieve the best possible pricing, payment terms, and cost efficiencies through strategic partnerships and volume aggregation.

- Implement and manage procurement processes and policies with a focus on digital tools and platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development, finance, and operations for seamless procurement execution.

- Monitor market trends and proactively manage supply risks and opportunities.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and ethical procurement practices.

- Lead, manage, and mentor a small procurement team to enhance performance and alignment with business goals.

Requirements :

- Minimum 8 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in purchase/procurement in relevant industries.

- Hands-on experience with steel raw materials sourcing and procurement.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.

- Familiarity with MSME vendor ecosystems and local steel markets.

- Proficiency in using digital procurement tools, ERP systems, and sourcing platforms.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong team leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

- Willingness to travel between locations as needed.
