Environment Management Head (Goa)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead environmental initiatives, oversee safety during shutdowns, and conduct training programs. Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations.
• Responsible for obtaining clearances, implementing sustainable practices, manage audits, pollution control equipment maintenance, and liaison with regulatory bodies.
• Responsible for obtaining environmental clearances, permits, and authorizations for new projects and renewals.
• Implements environmental practices and strategies to achieve environmental objectives and targets.
• Keeps abreast of changes in environmental legislation, liaising with regulatory bodies and communities.
• Ensures proper maintenance of pollution control equipment and conducts regular audits for effectiveness.
• Monitors and controls pollution in plant and mine areas based on environmental observations.
• Ensures plant compliance with environmental regulations through audits and management programs.
• Identifies environmental aspects, recommends actions, and conducts environmental audits.
• Manages environmental-related capital projects and budgets, including maintenance schedules.
• Expedites resolutions to environmental issues and reviews construction projects for compliance.
• Coordinates with government authorities, implements waste management systems, and conducts training programs on environmental practices

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors in chemistry or Env Sc. Engineering preferred masters.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS tools and reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills to effectively handle regulatory requirements and ensure environmental sustainability.
