PHP/YII Developer - MySQL (1-4 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and passionate PHP/Yii Developer to join our growing team of over 200 talented engineers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable web applications using PHP and the Yii/Yii2 framework. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality code. You will work collaboratively within a team to build innovative solutions and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, test, and deploy high-performance web applications using PHP and the Yii/Yii2 framework.

- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with mobile applications and other systems.

- Work with databases, primarily MySQL, to design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries.

- Utilize JavaScript and jQuery to enhance user interfaces and create interactive web experiences.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely and efficient manner.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in PHP and web development.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies.

- (Optional) Utilize version control systems, preferably Git, for effective code management and collaboration.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience as a PHP developer with a strong understanding of core PHP concepts.

- Solid knowledge and practical experience with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern.

- Hands-on experience with the Yii or Yii2 framework.

- Proficient in working with MySQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript and jQuery.

- Experience in developing and consuming mobile application APIs using JSON.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Skills (Good to Have) :

- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

- Experience with other PHP frameworks or libraries.

- Knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

- Experience with unit testing and integration testing.

- Understanding of agile development methodologies.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
