WEQ Technologies - Quality Analyst - Functional Testing (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Planning & Strategy : Work closely with product management and development teams to understand requirements, user stories, and use cases to create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.

- Functional Testing : Execute thorough manual functional tests across web, mobile, and API interfaces to ensure all features meet specified requirements.

- Non-Functional Testing : Participate in non-functional testing activities, including performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing, to ensure software robustness.

- Manual Testing : Conduct meticulous manual testing, exploring edge cases and identifying defects that may not be caught by automated scripts.

- Automation Testing : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using relevant

tools and frameworks for regression and functional testing.

- Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, categorize, and track software defects using a defect management system, providing clear steps for reproduction.

- Test Data Management : Develop and manage test data sets required for various testing scenarios.

- Reporting & Metrics : Analyze test results, provide appropriate test metrics, and prepare clear

reports on test execution status, defect trends, and overall software quality.

- Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

- Process Improvement : Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.

Required Skills :

- 3+ years of professional experience as a Quality Analyst / Software Tester.

- Strong experience in Functional Testing across web, mobile (Android/iOS), and/or API

applications.

- Experience with Non-Functional Testing concepts (e.g., performance, security, usability,

compatibility).

- Proven expertise in Manual Testing methodologies and execution.

- Hands-on experience in Automation Testing, including designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.

- Proficiency with at least one automation testing tool/framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress for web; Appium for mobile; Postman, Rest Assured for API).

- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies.

- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).

- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
