WEQ Technologies - PHP Developer - CodeIgniter/Laravel (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using PHP.

- Work extensively with Core PHP, and gain or utilize expertise in popular frameworks like CodeIgniter and Laravel.

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and frontend developers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Write clean, modular, well-documented, and testable code.

- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.

- Debug and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.

- Ensure the performance, security, and responsiveness of web applications.

- Manage and optimize databases (e.g. , MySQL, PostgreSQL) to support application needs.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP ecosystem advancements, framework updates, and related web technologies.

- Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

Required Skills :

- 3+ years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.

- Strong proficiency in Core PHP programming.

- Hands-on experience with at least one major PHP framework, such as CodeIgniter or Laravel.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. , MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend integration.

- Experience with RESTful API design and consumption.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Familiarity with unit testing concepts and frameworks.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
