Business Development Manager - Fintech - B2B

CTC : 4 - 4.8lpa+ incentives

Experience: 3- 5 yrs

Location : Mumbai, Pune (Hadapsar)

Job Overview:

Manager, Business Development is responsible for sourcing B2B counterparties and establishing Sadhan's business relationships with them, as per the Company's guidelines. It involves approaching business leads provided by the Company as well as generating new leads independently and achieving the targets of B2B sales. B2B sales targets are in the form of active Sadhan mobile application users, acquired in bulk through our B2B network as well as acquiring new B2B partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Thoroughly understand the mobile application; especially the USP's for our B2B prospects as well as app users.

- Thoroughly understand the sales strategy of expanding the network of our active B2B partners and end app users.

- Source new B2B leads through the personal network as well as the existing B2B partners and manage the whole process of acquisition of B2B partners.


- Obtain the prescribed information, perform the standard independent background checks and understand what they are looking for from our collaboration agreement.


- Prepare and submit the onboarding proposal form to senior management for evaluation.


- Priority is to acquire B2B leads with the prospect of bringing large number of app users.

- Obtain the list of B2B leads sourced by the Company, approach them as new B2B leads and manage the whole process of acquisition of such B2B partners.

- Convert the B2B prospect leads into an active business relationship by convincing the prospect to enter into a collaboration agreement with the Company.


- Explain the various benefits of collaboration relevant for the type of business lead.


- For the large B2B leads, persuade the B2B partner to assign someone from his/her team as our 'Single Point of Contact' for managing day-to-day interaction and administrative processes with the partner.

- Maintain a strong active ongoing relationship with the B2B counterparties for acquisition of more and more active app users by giving excellent service/ support to the B2B partner as well as the app users acquired through them.

- Always be ready to support the B2B partners as well as end users in troubleshooting of app issues or in resolving any other operational issues such as documentation, payments, transactions etc. Give assurance to the counterparties that the help and support is always available.

- Manage active communication with the B2B relationships in your portfolio through face-to-face meetings at set intervals, promptly responding to their emails/texts/missed calls and address their concerns, send periodic updates/ announcements, send their monthly portfolio and revenue reports, set up their meeting with Sadhan senior management as and when necessary, etc.

- Manage the periodic internal reporting of sales activities such as daily log of meetings including travel details, daily status update report, maintaining the master tracker database of B2B prospects as well as app users acquired through them, daily tracking of sales target backlog including documentation of blockers and remedial actions.

- Effectively coordinate with the back-office teams for successful conversion of B2B and app user prospects into a large number of active app users by assisting them with completion of the paperwork, getting their other queries resolved and getting them to actually transact through the app.

Profile:

- The candidate should be in the age group of 30-40 with the relevant work experience in the field of B2B sales of finance products for a minimum period of 3 to 5 years. Finance products include insurance, loans, deposits and investment products.


- Successful track record of meeting and exceeding the sales targets in previous roles, is an added advantage in the shortlisting process.

- Prior B2B sales experience should be in the form of personal visits and face to face meetings with prospects, actively selling a product. Tele calling or virtual meetings of customer support/ query resolution will not count as experience.

- Minimum educational qualification: Graduation in commerce/ business administration.

- The candidate should be polite and professional in his approach. He/ she should always be well groomed and presentable with a professional attire to properly represent the Company and the brand.

- The candidate should have excellent communication skills with an ability to convince people and clearly convey the sales message for successful conversion of prospects into the business partners.

- The candidate should be a skilled communicator and a good listener who understands and analyses the requirements of the business prospects and is able to decide what type of business collaboration proposal from us will meet their requirements.

- The candidate should be a multi linguist who can effectively communicate in English and Marathi/ Hindi. Candidate should be comfortable in speaking in either Marathi or Hindi fluently along with English.


- The candidate should have a professional ambitious mindset with a drive to succeed. Commitment to excel at work and in career is valued.

Terms of employment:

- This is a Full-Time position subject to successful completion of the probation period of 3 months. The probation period will involve delivery of the set sales targets. Success in meeting these targets will determine if the candidate is confirmed for a permanent placement.

- Remuneration package will be a combination of a fixed salary and a variable component, linked to achievement of sales targets.

- Daily activities include daily submission of sales log and other reports at the designated office.

- The candidate will be expected to have his own laptop, a vehicle and a driving license for client visits.

- Fuel expenses will be reimbursed along with monthly salary, based on daily sales meeting reports and support invoices.
