No work life balance, options provided by Dell is not given to employees by 2nd level Management (managers manager) and we were enforced work from office, management asked employees to opt for hybrid only no remote for employees who were already coming to office , while the other team member does not follow this, our team has been asked to come and the reason given is "You have seen the email from Michael Dell" Please talk to him So in one word we are "FORCED" to come to office Whether others follow it or not. employees are even asked to come on weekend (Saturday and Sunday as well) , there is nothing available in cafeteria to even eat no glass for water. No Gym, No Indoor Games , Television placed on Each floor does not work. Favouritism in terms of opportunity and career progression not based on employees performance and available data - Please have a suggestion/feedback email created where employees can raise concerns with VP level visibility. Career progression or switching team is not entertained since replacement would take time and they want us to be in same role for rest of the time with no proper hike and growth opportunities. Micromanagement by internal employees so called MOD(Manager on Duty), an unofficial role taken by an engineer and given by the manager, a senior resource and tenured engineer has to do critical and important tasks however here MOD role involves looking after breaks of other employees and reporting them - this has created discontent within the team and the friendly and team bonding is lost. All these and many more things have built not so encouraging environment for employees to return to office....Read More

While the company culture may be average, the relationships I've built with my coworkers have made my experience enjoyable. Having friendly colleagues makes the workday more enjoyable and creates a sense of belonging within the team.

Dislikes

I have several concerns about working at Dell. The poor work-life balance, with expectations to work late hours and weekends without compensation, is particularly challenging. Additionally, the management tends to be retaliative and blame-shifting, which creates a punitive atmosphere. The compensation and benefits are below industrystandards, with annual merit increases falling short of the inflation rate. The work culture can be toxic, pressuring employees to overwork. Remote workers face an unfriendly culture, often being forced to adopt a hybrid model and treated as second-class employees. Long, unproductive meetings further reduce overall productivity, and there are limited opportunities for career growth and advancement....Read More

Huge difference in terms of thought process of Global Leadership and Indian Leadership. Unfortunately in India leadership it's going decline stage because of their lack of vision, skillset and work culture with bias mindsets. Dell should start giving the eligible criteria to be a leader, not just by socializing and networking... It's already ruined the work culture and quality of Dell.

Job Security: No security. More layoff in last 2 years, around 40 thousand people impacted. Employees are unable to work peacefully because of lay off fear in their minds. It is happening every month. Increment: More biased, Irregular. People who align with manager can get increment, for others nil. Promotion: Getting promotion is less, more politics and region-based favour followed for promotion. No promotion for seniors and hardworking people. Work life balance: It was present 2 years back, now no flexibility. If you not coming to office 5 days in week - you be threatened like no promotion, no increment, you will be in layoff list in next week.
