Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

I worked as a Java Developer and consistently delivered everything the client required. My work was well appreciated by the client throughout the project. However, my contract ended in the same month as my appraisal cycle, and I was told that my appraisal would be put on hold. What disappointed me the most was the lack of transparency and professionalism. Despite being on the same client project for over two years—something that clearly reflects my performance—there has been a delay of over three months regarding my appraisal. Throughout this time, the HR team kept giving vague assurances like "you'll receive it this month or next," without any clarity. While I am grateful to the company for providing me opportunities to grow, I must say the management, especially in handling appraisals and employee communication, has been extremely poor.

Biased managers, Favouritism for old useless employees, Long working hous considered as more output, Selling resources to the so called clients like a product, Strict working hours, No approval without leaves, 1 min extra lunch break will extend 1 working hour.

...t's a waste of time since the client interview is done post joining the company. Any escalation from the client can put your salary on hold. You might have to relocate from the originally agreed work location to the client place. Emergency leave can get you fired, they are not very understanding about such situations. Also no maternity leaves here.

A salary hike with a loyalty incentive seems unusual, as it requires employees to return 50% of the hike if they leave within a year. While a minimum commitment of three months might be reasonable, this policy essentially functions like a bond. Additionally, the first month's salary is withheld after resignation and released as full and final settlement three months after the last working day. While holding it for one month may be understandable, a three-month delay feels excessively long
