ChatGPT prepped me HARD for my interview!
Spent like two hours on chatgpt yesterday prepping for an interview. First, the usual, copy-pasted my resume and the job description, telling it to "upload this to your memory 'cause we are going to talk about it later". Then I grilled it with questions about stuff I didn't get in the job spec, and chatgpt helped me figure things out. I asked it to list the four or five key things they are looking for in the role. Then I told chatgpt to quiz me with ten questions, one at a time, to help me think about how I have gained experience in those areas. After the ten questions, it gave me strengths/weaknesses and a summary. Finally, I had chatgpt summarize each of my answers into three bullet points. Now have got a list of stories ready to go for any interview. No matter the question, I can steer the convo toward one of these success stories.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The questions were of medium to high difficulty. What set this test apart was the fact that each question had different weightage ranging from 0.5 to 3 marks per question. Time was a major factor. So my strategy was to attempt all the 1 and 1.5 marks questions which constitute the major chunk of the paper in around 40 minutes and spend the remaining 20 minutes for the 2 and 3 mark questions. I did not even bother reading the 0.5 mark questions. The 2 and 3 mark questions were difficult and those will differentiate you from others. 1600 students wrote the test and only 86 got shortlisted for the next round.
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 40

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I was asked to write a C program to print the Fibonacci sequence and a basic SQL query. Apart from this I was asked a puzzle and other questions related to my resume. Out of the 86, only 26 students were called for the next round which again was a technical interview.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This was similar to the first technical interview. I had to write a C program to print the prime numbers between 1 and 100 and a puzzle was asked again. Apart from this a guesstimate to find the number of cars between 2 places was asked and a scenario based question too was asked. These were followed by resume related questions.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: All the 26 students who attended the second technical round were allowed to attend HR round as well. This was just for 4 - 5 minutes. I was asked about my family background and why I should be hired. My fondest memories from school days were asked too. Finally offer letter was given to 10 students out of the 1600 who wrote the test :P

General Tips: Just keep a calm head and attempt the questions. Ask for time to think if you are not able to answer the questions immediately. Be bold and confident. That is sufficient :)
Skills: Puzzle Solving Capability, Ability To Think, SQL, C Programming

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: CGPA SHORTlist
Experience: They selected students who have CGPA greater than 8.5.After the selection was done,we had skype interviews where each student was given a slot.In the interview they ask you about 'tell me about yourself',your projects. You should explain the projects exactly and clearly. They ask you better alternatives for implementing the project. After that on the basis of the project they ask you questions related to that subject.Data structures is very important. After the questions on projects were asked they ask you to write programs on data structures(simple programs). They asked me a program to reverse a singly linked list. After that,if they are impressed with it,they go for databases. One should be thorough with functionalities of each key.If time permits they may ask you puzzles(some of my friends were asked). Quite an easy interview. They give you enough time to think so no worries.People with some interview experience can easily crack this. The main objective of the interviewer is he/she checks whether the student is perfect in the concepts learned.
Tips: Don't be panic. If you don't know anything directly say 'I don't know'. They ask you very easy questions.

General Tips: Don't be panic.Since this is skype interview you can be relaxed.Be cool and focussed .Listen to the interviewer questions carefully.
