Position: Head of Marketing
Location: Pune, India
Reporting to: CEO
About the Role:
We are hiring a dynamic and visionary Head of Marketing for a leading multinational in India. The incumbent will be responsible for defining and executing the marketing roadmap in India. This is a leadership role with a strong strategic focus on brand positioning, product innovation, demand generation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management
- Define the product roadmap in collaboration with the global product team, based on Indian consumer insights.
- Drive innovation through deep market understanding and competitor analysis.
- Position premium products across channels while managing pricing strategy and profitability.
2. Brand Development & Marketing Communication
- Develop and execute a cohesive brand strategy to strengthen market positioning.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across ATL, BTL, digital, and in-store marketing initiatives.
- Optimize marketing budgets to deliver strong ROI on brand building initiatives.
3. Demand Generation & GTM Strategy
- Build and scale influencer programs targeting architects, consultants, and builders.
- Co-create trade marketing campaigns with the sales team for general trade, modern trade, and e-commerce channels.
- Develop programs to engage retail influencers like plumbers, electricians, and service technicians.
4. Consumer & Market Insights
- Drive qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to understand consumer behaviour and market shifts.
- Track competitor movements and identify whitespace opportunities for product and promotional strategies.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Service, R&D, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional planning cycles.
- Partner with HR to build and lead a high-performing marketing team.
6. Sustainability & Thought Leadership
- Drive sustainability initiatives including energy conservation, e-waste recycling, and awareness campaigns.
- Stay updated with global technological and regulatory trends impacting in the sector.
Education:
- MBA from a premier institute is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Experience:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, ideally in Consumer Durable or FMCG industry.
- Strong exposure to brand management, product lifecycle, P&L ownership, and digital marketing.
