Position Title: Fixed Income Dealer

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 4 to 6

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Execution:

- Develop and implement trading strategies for SLR and Non-SLR bond portfolios to maximize returns while managing risk and maintaining liquidity.

- Design and execute trades in government securities, corporate bonds, and other debt instruments, factoring in market dynamics, interest rate trends, and regulatory guidelines.

Market Oversight:

- Oversee daily trading operations across SLR (statutory liquidity ratio) and Non-SLR segments.

- Ensure effective trade execution, pricing, and portfolio management, maintaining a balance between liquidity needs and regulatory requirements.

- Stay updated with macroeconomic trends, RBI policies, and market developments.

Risk and Compliance Management:

- Ensure full compliance with statutory and internal risk norms for SLR and Non-SLR securities.

- Implement risk mitigation strategies covering interest rate, credit, and liquidity risk.

SLR and Non-SLR Portfolio Management:

- Optimize SLR investments to comply with regulatory norms while achieving return objectives.

- Manage and diversify Non-SLR portfolios including corporate bonds, structured debt instruments, and private placements.

Team Leadership:

- Lead the Fixed Income Desk team comprising traders, analysts, and support staff.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

- Engage with institutional investors, brokers, counterparties, and regulators for smooth trade execution and market intelligence.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

- Track and report portfolio performance regularly to senior management and key stakeholders.

- Conduct deep-dive market analysis to assess factors such as interest rate changes, credit spreads, and economic indicators.

Policy and Regulatory Adherence:

- Keep updated on all regulatory changes affecting fixed income markets, including SLR norms, Basel guidelines, and RBI policies.

- Ensure accurate classification, disclosure, and compliance across all bond trading activities.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in Fixed Income trading, especially placement of bonds in both SLR and Non-SLR categories.

- Strong understanding of government securities, corporate debt markets, and regulatory frameworks.

- Hands-on experience with portfolio risk management, credit evaluation, and interest rate strategies.

- Team handling experience is a must the candidate will lead the entire Fixed Income trading unit.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Proficient in market analysis tools, trading systems, and MS Excel.
