Position Summary:

KL University is looking for a dynamic and goal-oriented Student Counsellor to support the admissions team in guiding prospective students through the application and enrolment process. The counsellor will play a key role in representing the university, responding to inquiries, providing accurate program information, and helping students make informed decisions about their academic future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to admission inquiries via phone, email, chat, and walk-ins in a timely and professional manner.
• Guide prospective students and parents through the application and enrolment process.
• Provide detailed and accurate information about courses, eligibility, fees, scholarships, and campus facilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all academic programs, admission policies, and procedures.
• Follow up with leads and applications through phone calls, messages, and email campaigns.
• Coordinate and participate in admission events such as education fairs, school visits, webinars, and open house sessions.
• Track and maintain records of student inquiries, applications, admissions, and conversions in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to improve outreach strategies and digital engagement.
• Assist students in completing documentation and ensure timely submission of required credentials.
• Achieve assigned targets for student admissions and contribute to the overall goals of the admissions department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of experience in student counselling, admissions, or academic advisory roles (preferably in higher education).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Odia and Hindi is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet admission deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/admission management tools.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience in student-facing roles in educational institutions or career counselling centers.
• Knowledge of the regional education landscape and competitive institutions.
