Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager / DGM in the Managing Director's Office, you will play a key role in supporting high-level strategic initiatives and decision-making processes. This position requires a proactive and analytical individual who can provide valuable insights, assist in the execution of corporate strategies, and ensure seamless coordination across departments. You will work closely with the MD and senior leadership to help shape the future direction of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Support:
- Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of corporate strategies in alignment with the company's long-term goals.
- Provide detailed research and analysis on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to inform business decisions.
- Develop strategic frameworks and presentations for executive discussions and board meetings.
2. Data Analysis & Insights:
- Compile, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to generate actionable insights for the MD.
- Provide periodic reports on key business metrics, market performance, and strategic projects.
- Monitor and evaluate ongoing strategic initiatives, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement.
3. Project Management & Coordination:
- Oversee and track cross-functional projects to ensure timely completion of strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and provide project updates to the MD.
- Act as a point of contact between the MD's office and other business units to ensure smooth communication and execution of plans.
4. Governance & Compliance:
- Support the MD's office in ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the review and refinement of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and insights on strategic projects.
- Facilitate collaboration between the MD's office and key business partners, ensuring a consistent flow of information and alignment on goals.
6. Ad-hoc Responsibilities:
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as directed by the Managing Director to support the company's operations and strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- 4-8 years of experience in strategy, or consulting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise reports.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage.
