Job Description:
One of the MNC companies in Data Center business is hiring a Technical Training professional
Overview:
Training Manager is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and modules that meet the diverse needs of our data centre operations. This role involves identifying training requirements, creating both internal and external training content (including online and VR-based modules), managing training calendars, and tracking training effectiveness.
The Training Manager will work closely with HR and operational teams to ensure that our workforce is continuously upskilled and aligned with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and the evolving technical demands of the data centre environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Training Strategy & Program Development:
- Conduct end-to-end training needs assessments across operations to identify gaps in technical, compliance, safety, and operational skills.
- Develop and manage the Operations Training Academy, creating comprehensive training programs and orientation modules for all levels of operational staff, including new hires and shift managers.
- Oversee the creation of training content with the core team, focusing on innovative delivery methods such as online modules, VR content, and interactive workshops through external parties or tools.
- Evaluate and identify certification needs, coordinating with HR and external partners to provide relevant training opportunities, including assessments of team members for skill verification.
Content Development & Delivery:
- Develop training content for internal modules such as mock drills, EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), onboarding, site/job-specific training (including Shift HOTO), compliance, cybersecurity
- Create and update training materials covering core technical topics such as Electrical and Mechanical HVAC concepts, IBMS/SCADA automation, predictive/preventive maintenance, SOP/EOP/MOP, RCA, emerging data centre technologies (including liquid cooling and AI), DBR, IST, HOTO processes, and troubleshooting.
- Develop external training programs on leadership, industry certifications (UPTIME, CDCP, ITIL), customer service, case studies, BCP, efficiency, ESG practices, basics of networking/cabling/IT, change and incident management, MIS data management, vendor management, and ISO compliance.
Training Administration & Performance Tracking:
- Publish and manage a comprehensive training calenda, integrating all training activities from content creation to delivery and assessment.
- Act as the custodian of the media library, maintaining an up-to-date repository of training records, modules, and documentation, including materials developed with the core team and delivered through external channels.
- Monitor and track training performance, assessing team members through various metrics, and report on training outcomes to drive continuous improvement within the organization.
Skills/Exp Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from a Top School
- Preferred: Advanced certifications or diplomas in Training & Development, Learning & Development, or equivalent credentials.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in training and development, preferably within data centre operations or a related technical environment.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering comprehensive training programs using modern technologies such as e-learning and VR.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e-learning tools; experience with VR-based training platforms is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of data centre operations including electrical, mechanical, IBMS, SCADA, predictive and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for continuous improvement in training processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation and email communication capabilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across multiple functions.
- High emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and people management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple training initiatives concurrently.
- Willingness to travel as needed to coordinate with regional teams and attend/conduct trainings.
