DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (2-6 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Build and Automate Cloud Infrastructure : Design, deploy, and optimize cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Set Up CI/CD and Deployment Pipelines : Develop automated workflows to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment for faster releases.

- Monitor and Improve System Performance : Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Manage Containers and Scalability : Deploy and maintain containerized applications, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.

- Ensure Security and Reliability : Enforce access controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard infrastructure and data.

- Adapt and Scale with the Startup : Take on dynamic responsibilities, quickly learn new technologies, and evolve processes to meet growing business needs.

Must-Haves :

- 3+ years in DevOps or related roles, focusing on cloud environments, automation, CI/CD, and Linux system administration.

- Strong expertise in debugging and infrastructure performance improvements.

- Cloud Expertise : In-depth experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including services like EC2 RDS, S3 VPC, etc.

- IaC Tools : Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

- Scripting Skills : Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Containerization : Experience with Docker, including managing containers in production.

- Monitoring Tools : Hands-on experience with tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, and Datadog.

- Version Control : Proficiency with Git and code repository management.

- Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical team members.

- Database Management : Experience with managing and tuning databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.

- Deployment Pipelines : Experience with Jenkins and similar CI/CD tools. Message Queues : Experience with RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka.

Nice to Have :

- Certifications : AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.

- SRE Practices : Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including error budgeting and service level objectives (SLOs).

- Serverless Computing : Knowledge of AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or similar architectures.

- Containerization : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including managing production clusters.

- Security : Awareness of security best practices and implementations.

- Cloud Cost Optimization : Experience with cost-saving initiatives in cloud environments.

- Data Pipelines and ETL : Experience in setting up and managing data pipelines and ETL workflows.

- Familiarity with Modern Tech Stacks : Exposure to Python, Node.js, React.js, and Kotlin for app deployment, CI/CD pipelines.

- MLOps Pipelines : Understanding of ML model deployment and operationalization.

- Data Retrieval and Snapshots : Experience with PITI, EC2 and RDS snapshots.

- System Resiliency and Recovery : Strategies for ensuring system reliability and recovery in case of downtime.
