Our client is a well-funded Startup headquartered in Bangalore, established in 2016 as an AI-powered platform for Blue-Collar Hiring.
- It's helping 300 M+ blue-collar workers in India find jobs over time, and they want to become the centre of all money and financial needs for blue-collar workers.
Role: HEAD OF DEMAND / ENTERPRISE SALES / CORPORATE SALES - preferably from a Service-Based Business like Logistics, IT SAAS Sales etc. (PRIOR STARTUP EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL)
Experience: 10 - 15 years
Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore
CTC: 90LPA - 1.2 CR
REPORTS TO: FOUNDER & CEO
About the Role:
# As the Head of Demand, you will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, growth, and retention across the demand side of our marketplace. You will lead a team to build and scale demand-generation strategies, foster deep client relationships, and drive revenue growth by ensuring that Vahan is the preferred hiring partner for India's leading companies. This is a leadership role that requires a mix of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration to fuel sustainable business growth.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Demand Strategy & Growth: Define and execute a comprehensive demand-side strategy to drive business growth and revenue.
- Enterprise Acquisition & Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, ensuring Vahan is their preferred hiring partner.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing demand team, fostering a culture of ownership and results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply, operations, and product teams to align demand initiatives with business goals.
- Market Intelligence & Expansion: Identify emerging industry trends, explore new demand opportunities, and drive category expansion.
- Sales Process Optimization: Implement data-driven approaches to enhance client acquisition, retention, and overall sales performance.
- Partnership Development: Identify and build strategic alliances to accelerate demand growth.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key demand-side metrics, generate insights, and continuously optimize for efficiency and effectiveness.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Have 10+ years of experience in demand generation, sales, or business development, preferably in a marketplace or high-growth startup.
SHOULD HAVE WORKED WITH A FOUNDER
TARGET COMPANIES of candidates - LOGISTICS, IT SERVICES (SERVICE ELEMENT AFTER THE SALE IS MOST IMPORTANT), etc...
- Have led and scaled demand teams, managing high-impact revenue and growth functions.
- Possess strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term goals.
- Are highly data-driven, using insights to optimize acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
- Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across leadership teams.
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and excel at driving measurable impact.
