Senior Quality Engineer - Selenium/Playwright Testing (7-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Quality Strategy & Planning : Define, develop, and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and test plans for our products and features.

- Test Design & Execution : Design, develop, and execute various types of tests, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance tests.

- Automation Expertise : Lead the development and maintenance of robust and scalable test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.

- Defect Management : Effectively identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Risk Assessment : Proactively identify and assess potential quality risks and propose mitigation strategies.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with development, product, and other engineering teams to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process.

- Performance Analysis : Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and work with development teams to optimize application performance.

- Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve our QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Mentorship & Guidance : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality within the team.

- Metrics & Reporting : Define and track key quality metrics, and provide regular reports on test progress and quality status to stakeholders.

- Exploratory Testing : Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues and ensure a high level of product polish.

- CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated tests seamlessly into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.

- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).

- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

- Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL.

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira with Xray/Zephyr).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
