Head - Mechanical Engineering - Stainless Steel Plant (10-18 yrs)

Overview:

The Head of Mechanical Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering functions in the stainless steel long steel manufacturing plant. This role will involve leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the reliability, performance, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the steel manufacturing industry, and will possess strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the steel manufacturing industry (preferably in long steel or stainless steel production).

- Proven track record of managing mechanical maintenance, projects, and equipment reliability in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in steel production, such as rolling mills, furnaces, hydraulic systems, and material handling equipment.

Technical Skills:

- Expertise in mechanical maintenance strategies, including predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.

- Solid understanding of plant mechanical systems, process optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.

- Experience with condition monitoring tools and reliability-centered maintenance.

- Familiarity with CAD software, PLC systems, and other engineering tools commonly used in the steel manufacturing industry.

- Strong knowledge of safety standards, mechanical engineering codes, and regulations.
