Leadership in freefall : even executives are switched out like changing light bulbs. Yet the office and employees remain in the dark. Micromanagement Hub: this is not a GCC anymore, it’s a GSC or BPO. Everyday is like an opera or puppet show by the onshore using offshore pawns. No robust tech stack, it keeps changing just like the job roles, Now they are behind AI, it just started and they want AI professionals with 20 year experience. Job security is like playing Russian roulette. Even SR and executive management aren’t spared from the sudden redundancies. Bottom feeders thrive through circus shows in the name of fun at office, fun factory, Fun committee, fun league etc. there are people earning quite a sizeable amount for doing this. But then again they are in desperation. Latest buzzwords are Code commit: even SR executives have to commit codes, it’s like asking Literature professors to write A-Z daily for in small letters and caps for 5 times. And another one is work hard party hard, which sounds like work hard, slog harder and we’ll make you role redundancy retention the hardest. The party part is when you’ll be frustrated and wouldn’t mind getting sloshed in even in a local bar.. Mental health sessions gives us some much needed sleep, time off work until some over enthusiastic managers decide to keep meetings even then. Advise to Management: Walk your talk and live your. The 3 C’s culture, care, courage, commitment is now 3B’s Broken promises, broken culture and broken dreams. CBA has now become a revolving door of mental exhaustion. Work-life balance is well maintained as most of the time you will not have any work. CBA has recently started its existing system migration to the cloud but the pace of the transition is very slow. So if you can make a good rapport with the top brass then you will get the opportunity to work on those technologies. When I got hired in CBA back in 2022 that time what ever the benefits the hiring HR promised most of them were vague. There is huge amount of your CTC will be part of the veriable pay(which they called STVR), 20% of the fixed amount. It is non-negotiable. Also as per the company policy no one will get 100% percent of the STVR. On an avarage you will get maximum 50% of the STVR. CBA is very much confuse about their choice of technology. They are hiring people with very serious designation but eventually the candidate is end with silly excel report. For an example most of the Data engineers in the organisation are just running jobs and monitor them as pert of their daily work. Quality engineers are running same test cases daliy. Most of the people in this org does not have enough work to keep you busy all day....Read More

They are confused about everything. They hired so many resources in India only to fire them through organisational structure/PACE model. They are ruining careers of employees. No job security. Turning all support employees into developers so that they resign is CBA India's strategy. Would advice not to join.

Well, comm bank is newly set up in India. They are still struggling to transition projects from Australia. If things doesn't go with there way, they can release you immediately. I am the prime example of this. Our entire team has been laid off recently. They believe in hire and fire rules. No one can predict the future in comm bank specifically in India.

The environment is very toxic and I am not even kidding. People from ANZ regretting their decision after joining Commonwealth India. They said atleast we had job security in ANZ but here they can fire you anyday so whoever is joining make sure you give 100 percent everyday. Everyday means you have to give everyday.
