Previously the company was good and there was no pressure. Salary was also decent. Later when Indian management took over they made life of employees hell just to impress higher ups. Hired new employees at much lower salary and didn't give hike/bonus to tenured employees forcing people quit and indirectly suggesting to leave who weren't quitting. The company doesn't appreciate loyalty of the employee. They only care about quantity over quality. All benefits are given to on-site roles now. All promotion opportunities are also given there. So working for VCC i.e. WFH Amazon is a bad idea.

Dislikes

If you are offered a VCC i.e. WFH option at Amazon. Decline it. The salary is low, unnecessary pressure, supervisors are hired from outside having no process knowledge, so no support available during work, shift timings are terrible including 10 pm - 7 am shift which is for 3 months and at times they increase it for few more weeks as well. Terrible work culture and no work-life balance. "Silent layoffs" is being practiced currently.

So much of work pressure, targeting people and there is no job security we have to handle chat and email at a time.....work balance life is not at all good. So much of politics.

For fresher and starting career its fine. Like having something than nothing. Confirmed salary at the end of each month.

Dislikes

You are just an labour, who is forced to work on every holiday. If you say no to overtime they say no to your leaves. The break is fixed time and you can not take it, if you missed your slot due to work pressure in short don't have breaks and work on weekend nights and every holiday, sure you get paid but you don't have any time to enjoy your hard earned money and for growth either endure and stay till they promote or just take a leap to step out and learn actual working skills and get value of your worth.

If you want to grow in your career never join any VCC or work from home role in Amazon especially customer service, SDS, SPS roles. If you are someone who wants to permanently work from home or doesn't want any promotion or increment you can join. I have seen employees who are sitting in same position for year's and years without any promotion. In SPS there is too much mental pressure. The target metrics are very tough to achieve. The supervisor and leadership team will give mental pressure if you don't meet the metrics. And the Target metrics is also designed in such a way that no one will be able to achieve. IF YOU WANT TO SIT AND WORK FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME WITHOUT ANY INCREMENT OR PROMOTION THEN YOU CAN JOIN.

Every 3 months shift timings change, every 2 months new policies are introduced which leads to imbalance and managers are changed very frequently leading to no repo build with them.
