The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role
It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. Companies run on numbers. If you don’t negotiate, you leave money on the table. Have you ever been in a similar spot? How did you navigate it?

...cts. Work-life balance is good with only exceptional situations to "grind work". Compensation-wise it is as par with other IT infra based solution providers however expect average increment levels per year. Good job security in general but internal movement to projects is only through IJPs which is a streamlined process in itself. Ample WFH opportunities based on project requirements and all India centres have to be aligned with UK shifts.

(1) BT internal tools and system are outdated and needs overhaul. (2) BT internal processes are sometimes hard to navigate. "By-the-book" approach in hinderance in many instances. (3) Internal politics while project movements through IJPs or promotions as is the case with many large orgs. (4) Minimal support for paid trainings or certifications. No relocation support, ESOP or joining bonus etc (5) "Escalation" is often a way to get timely support from internal/cross-functional teams

Good career growth at least for me. It’s good for mostly women employees as company is more giving priority on diversity and inclusion. Yearly gift. Quarterly once outing for dinner.

Cab facility for men is horrible.they need to pay extra amount for availing cab. For women it’s free of cost. No promotion. No job security. Job security is there for employees with less salary, If you cross 20 LPA, then you will always be on axe.🪓 No fun, always work. 3 days mandatory work from office, they are even monitoring the card swipes and sending report to higher management. Lots and lots of politics. Manager does favour for their favourite bucketing employee. No recognition for the actual doers.

No job security. All of a sudden you may receive email for lay offs. No salary hike No promotion if you are not going for a drink with senior managers or if you are not having any kind of relationships with senior managers. Toxic work culture specially in GBA and GCB. The team managers will humiliate you in front of everyone and operations manager will be an audience. They know how to force people to put their papers.

Haven't found a pigeon box last 3 months. No one here to listen your problems. If you ask anything about your problem, you'll get a response that turns back on you. The technician, pantry boy, and security supervisor are all here to give you a backhanded response. The biggest issue here there is lack of respect. The one who hired you hasn't even asked for feedback until now. "Every company asks for feedback every three months; I'm sharing what I know from my experience."
