No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

...mployee-friendly, especially when it comes to shift management or taking leaves. Salary Delays & Payment Issues Salary payments are a major issue. Although salaries are supposed to be credited at the end of each month, they are often delayed — sometimes till the 15th to 23rd of the following month. In some cases, salaries are held back without proper explanation, or deductions are made without any clarity. I personally experienced a delay of over one and a half months without receiving a salary. Lack of Support from Management & HR Communication with HR, managers, or senior leadership is frustrating. Calls and emails often go unanswered, especially when you’re deployed at a client site. While the internal staff at the head office seem to get paid on time, those working on client projects are left waiting. Unfair Exit Practices There have been instances where employees leaving the company were asked to pay money to get their relieving or experience letters. Some were even told that their background verification wouldn’t be cleared unless they settled certain payments, which is highly unprofessional and unethical. Final Advice Join this company only if you are left with no other options and need a temporary job. Otherwise, it's better to look for companies with better transparency, timely payments, and a supportive work environment.

Everything, they don't provide salary on time. No work-life balance, they will ask you to work continuosly without any week off, they don't provide leave even if you are ill. They don't give salary increment. They don't bother about your mental or physical health. Save yourself if you have any other job offer.

Got a decent hike while joining. Not sure how it will be after a year. No clarity on increment or promotion.

Dislikes

Salary delay is normal. Sometimes they give salary after 7th of the month. HR people don't show interest in resolving employee's problems. Medical benefits are not provided on time. No idea how the government is not doing anything about it. Perhaps no one is reporting it.
