1) Based on your team and position in the company, your work-life balance can vary. But in general it is good. You don't get pressured much because it is an insourcing firm and your clients are your internal stakeholders. 2) The outlook of the Group Management is Fabulous. They are pulling the right strings at the right time and set ambitious yet achievable goals. But they don't transcend down to the lower rungs of the pyramid. It gets blocked by the fatty middle management layer and they are more of projections than actual actions. The Group is often blinded by the what happens in the upper layers of the pyramid. 3) The strides it made during the past 4 years, slow but there is progress without stagnation at least is some departments of the bank.

...adder or get promoted as they value your longevity more than your performance. 4) Salary is absolutely not competitive. It is like India is - The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. If you do a comparison you don't even fall in the market median bracket which is pathetic. They milk on people's ignorance on their market worth and value. 5) The external perspective of SCB GBS is not that great in India Chennai/Bangalore. Therefore when you want to look out, you rarely get calls from other players in the same sector. Maximum it would be Citi, HSBC, SG. This might not be true for SCB Singapore. 6) Senior folks have established their comfort couches in the company and it makes it difficult for talented junior folks to climb up.

1. Hike for last 2 years was 2%. Which is not match for inflation. 2. Bonus is way less comparing other MNC banks. You can say 7% of CTC is bonus that's lesser than peer companies. 3. Promotion will take delay though you performed well. 4. Micro managing, Low recognition: I had experience with my manager who wants me to update every EOD and when the project done I was not in Cc of Sign off mail to client. 5. As usual you can't leave the company on time and daily in time is monitored.

Good salary

Midlevel management will take the entire control and low level people will never be appreciated or they will not make them grow. No professional ethics at all. More than technical knowledge, you have to do lot of adjustments for your survival. Recently lay off also started.

...e past 2 years, no promotion, no new hiring in case of replacement (a team of 8. 3 resigned, still other 5 have the workload of the resigned 3 guys and no new recruitment) Compare your salary with a competitor company, you'll get to know the truth. -- No Festival leaves. No Diwali, no pongal No Vishu No onam. Yes you heard it. No leaves on Festivals. You have to work on those days, probably WFH of you're supporting other countries. You'll not even get Work from home remote location if you're from a city other than your office location. -- Leaves completely depends on your team. If someone asks for a leave on the same day of your request, priority matters! -- Promotions are joke Pay raises are an insult Recognitions are myth Career growth is misery!! So work for sometime, gain some experience. Get out of this company. Get your salary & level up and then come back to SCB. Repeat!! Yes. This is what many do here. -- Damn slow promotions. Internal switches are too tough and high competitive. Mostly based on recommendations. --Too much micro management. Now introduced an application which tracks every second of your work and are used while annual performance discussion. Never ever think of joining unless you join in a team where you are 100% sure you'll be recognised, well paid, have work life balance.

Salary is very low according to industry standards. Work culture is pretty boring that it feels like school. Work politics. No proper promotions. Minimum of 3 years for a promotion. No hike. max of 5%. some even gets 0.
