Is Zepto in Trouble? Cafes Shut, License Suspended, and Too Much Cash Burn

Zepto’s been in the news a lot lately and not for the best reasons. Their warehouse in Dharavi just had its food license suspended because of hygiene issues like fungal growth and expired items. And at the same time, they shut down their Zepto Cafes in Delhi and Chandigarh. Feels like something’s definitely off behind the scenes. On paper, their revenue doubled to Rs.4,454 crore last year but they’re still running at a Rs.1,248 crore loss. What’s scarier is their cash burn Rs.300 crore a month. That’s wild, even for a fast growing startup. Now they’re also dealing with antitrust cases, worker strikes, and tons of customer complaints online. From delivery king to damage control, Zepto really needs to slow down and fix what’s broken before things spiral.

No clarity on what's next from Product side. Random requests come in hence if you're someone working purely on Product tasks you'll have bad wlb. Also QA team is relatively new and in experienced so you're on your own.

There is nothing to like that in this you will not get basic amenities like washroom in every zepto store no proper washroom or cleaned

Dislikes

Many process gap they will hire and after 1 month they will dehired due to cost cutting it is not stable company also management was poor lack of skill they believe just in labour work not in smart and innovative if you are chamacha then this company will be perfect for you

I believe, the salary could be better specially if you are hiring people from good academic as well as experience. Reason is sometimes while working it feels like a minimum wage worker and that should not be the case if employee satisfaction is one of the key aspects. The TA team also said that appraisal after Probations are over but I believe it is just a way of fooling people into bulk hiring and getting people at minimum salary.

I liked salary paid in time for example month ending 30 salary crideted in 29 of the month.

High level management have no skills they have act of communication, they always involved direct lower management, for example I am reporting to “X” but every time “X” reporting manager involved and ask each every thing what is value of “X” ? There is no chain management. Everyone higher management work their own benefits only not work for company.
