Job Title : Database Administrator (with Data Architect & Analytics Focus)

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in data architecture, engineering, warehousing, and analytics to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing databases, with a keen understanding of data-driven decision-making processes.
Familiarity with AI and ML concepts will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Management and Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain (backup, recovery, patching) database systems.

- Monitor health and performance, optimizing as necessary to ensure efficient and reliable data retrieval and updates.

- Ensure security and integrity of all data, including implementing necessary access controls and encryption.

Data Architecture & Engineering :

- Design and maintain logical and physical data models to support business requirements.

- Develop and manage ETL processes to move data between systems.

- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance.

Data Warehousing :

- Design and implement data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence (BI) and reporting needs.

- Ensure real-time or near-real-time data availability for time-sensitive business processes.

Data Analytics :

- Work closely with business units and data analysts to provide support in data selection, extraction, and analysis.

- Recommend and implement best practices for data visualization and reporting.

AI & ML Familiarity :

- Collaborate with data scientists to provide data sets for AI/ML projects.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and ML techniques and incorporate relevant techniques into the data ecosystem.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand and support their database needs.

- Document database designs, architectures, and procedures for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- Years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on data architecture, engineering, warehousing, and analytics.

- Proficient in [specific database systems, e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server].

- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

- Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

- Familiarity with AI and ML concepts is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
