Senior Project Manager - Agile Methodologies (15-17 yrs)

What You'll Do :

Legacy Transformation Leadership : Lead and manage complex legacy transformation projects/programs, specifically involving technologies such as AS400, AIX, IBMi, DB2, and RPG, ensuring successful modernization and migration outcomes.

Agile & Scrum Master Expertise : Leverage 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master to champion Agile methodologies, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster self-organizing teams.

Program & Portfolio Management :

- Manage a diverse project portfolio in the role of a Program Manager or Delivery Manager, overseeing 10+ projects simultaneously (with 5+ years of experience in this capacity).

- Drive delivery excellence, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives.

- Oversee portfolio planning, monitoring, and reporting, providing transparent updates to senior stakeholders.

- Take ownership of escalation handling, proactively addressing and resolving critical project issues.

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement :

Actively participate in pre-sales activities, including responding to RFx processes, conducting research & analysis, developing compelling proposal presentations, and leading estimation & pricing efforts.

Financial Management & Profitability :

- Manage project and program revenue and profitability, with a focus on achieving targets (e.g., ACV R 30+ M).

- Drive cost optimization initiatives, track and report on financial performance, and oversee the invoicing process.

People Leadership & Development :

- Provide strong people management, including performance appraisals, constructive feedback, and career development for a team of 100+ indirect associates and 5+ direct reports.

- Drive upskilling initiatives within the team, ensuring continuous learning and capability enhancement.

Stakeholder Management :

- Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in IT project and program management.

- Legacy Transformation : Proven experience in managing legacy transformation projects/programs (AS400, AIX, IBMi, DB2, RPG).

- Agile Leadership : 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.

- Program/Delivery Management : Minimum 5+ years of experience managing a project portfolio as a Program Manager or Delivery Manager, overseeing 10+ projects simultaneously.

- Financial Acumen : Demonstrated experience in managing revenue and profitability (ACV R 30+ M), including cost optimization, tracking, and invoicing.

- Pre-Sales Expertise : Hands-on experience in pre-sales activities, RFx processes, research & analysis, proposal presentation, estimation & pricing.

- People Management : Proven experience in people management, including appraisals, feedback, and upskilling, for teams of 100+ indirect associates and 5+ direct reports.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) :

- Domain Expertise : Prior experience in the Insurance and/or Finance domain is highly preferred.

- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), or equivalent.

- Experience with leading project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).

- Exposure to cloud migration strategies.
