Leadership Role - Mining

Position Summary:

The role holder will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Iron Ore mining operation .This senior management role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations aligned with company goals, production targets, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will lead a diverse team of mining professionals, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of iron ore mining operations, including extraction, processing, and site management.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that maximize productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Oversee mine planning, scheduling, and execution in collaboration with technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local mining regulations and environmental policies.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditures related to mining operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop mine supervisors, engineers, and operational staff to foster a high-performance culture.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational data to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance teams to maintain best practices and reduce risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, local communities, and contractors.
• Lead initiatives for innovation and technology adoption to enhance mining operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 20 to 30 years of relevant experience in the same industry.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in large-scale mining operations.
• Proven track record of managing large teams and multimillion-dollar budgets.
• Strong understanding of mining technologies, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and implement strategic initiatives.
