Senior Advisor - Structural (Fixed Term Contract)

About the Role:

• Lead, drive and oversee the structural design for all permanent and temporary structures in the DRI facility. This includes steel and concrete structures supporting process equipment, pipe racks, towers, and buildings. Ensure all designs are safe, economical, and compliant with seismic and wind load requirements while aligning with project timelines and execution constraints.
• Carry out design validation and code compliance.

Role & responsibilities:

• Review and validate structural engineering drawings and calculation reports.
• Ensure compatibility of foundation and superstructure designs with heavy dynamic and static loads.
• Evaluate structural interfaces between modules, buildings, and equipment supports.
• Check conformance to wind, seismic, and industrial loading standards.
• Ensure integration of piping, electrical, and mechanical supports within structural systems.
• Coordinate structural design with modularization, fabrication, and transport requirements.
• Address constructability, erection sequence, and temporary structure needs.
• Resolve technical issues during detailed engineering and support EPC contractor.
• Address site queries, technical deviations, and NCRs during engineering and construction phases.
• Work on optimisation of Engg efforts and Quantities.
• KPIs Quality of Engg, On time Deliverables and Optimisation of Quantities.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 30+ years of experience in industrial structural design with steel/DRI/petrochemical projects.
• Proficient in STAAD Pro, Tekla, ETABS, and other structural modeling software.
• Familiarity with ACI, AISC, IS, and Eurocode standards.
• Field experience with erection planning and structural QA/QC.
• Experience with modular construction design is highly preferred.
• Preference will be given to retired professionals from the same background.

Contract Terms:

• Contract Duration: 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
