Job Description

Commercial Sales Analyst (Manufacturing)



- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to support sales strategies and improve business performance. Develop reports, conduct forecasting, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth within the industry


Key Responsibilities:


- Optimizing sales strategies for specific applications for the products


- Identifying new market segments and growth opportunities for the products


- Improving pricing strategies to remain competitive and profitable in the market.


- Supporting the development of new products based on market feedback.


- Ensuring efficient production and resource allocation based on sales forecasts.


- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences related to the products.


- Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and statistical models to develop accurate sales forecasts supporting inventory management, production planning, and resource allocation within the manufacturing process.


- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the Commercial Sales Head to optimize sales strategies, pricing, and promotional campaigns. This could involve suggesting target markets, pricing adjustments, or new product offerings based on market analysis.


- Develop and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition cost. Regularly communicate performance against targets to sales management.


- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline progress. Ensure data accuracy and consistency within the CRM system to support reporting and analysis.


- Evaluate pricing strategies for the products, considering market conditions, competitor pricing, and production costs. Identify opportunities to optimize pricing to maximize profitability.


- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review, summarizing sales performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.


Qualification And Experience:


1. BE & MBA from Reputed Engineering & Business Schools with 2-4 years of experience in a commercial or analytical role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.


2. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, statistical modelling, and interpretation of complex data sets.


3. Proficiency in using data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with CRM systems is also essential.


4. Understanding of the industry, including market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.


5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.


6. Ability to identify problems, analyse root causes, and develop creative solutions based on data analysis.
