Position Objectives:

In collaboration with the corporate team based in Europe, this role is responsible for the following key objectives across two newly established sites in Bengaluru:

1. Develop and Oversee the Site Quality Management System (QMS):
   Establish, implement, and manage a robust QMS that fully complies with the latest ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
2. Build and Lead the Local Quality Team:
   Recruit and develop a skilled quality team to sustain and enhance the sites QMS operations.
3. Implement Quality Tools and Performance Monitoring Frameworks:
   Deploy effective quality methodologies and tools to drive continuous performance tracking through key indicators, includingbut not limited toOn-Time Delivery and Product Quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Quality Leadership
• Act as the primary quality representative across all domains, including certifications, production, supplier quality, and metrology.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance frameworks to support multiple product lines and services in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Define quality objectives for various projects, ensuring compliance with Safran Group standards and procedures.
• Apply and oversee risk management methodologies to effectively identify and prioritize quality-related risks.
• Provide training and support to the local Quality team on relevant tools, standards, and best practices.

2. Corporate Interface & Strategic Alignment

• Serve as the key liaison for Quality topics with Safran Electronics & Defense (SED) top management.
• Focal point for the Quality topics to communicate with the SED Quality TOP management team.
• Collaborate with Safran teams in India and France to source support and guidance for developing and refining the "SED India" Quality Management System (QMS). Offer expert input and oversight across all aspects of quality assurance and continuous improvement.

3. Industrial Transfer Quality Oversight

• Lead quality activities during all phases of industrial transfers.
• Ensure that procedures and QMS documentation are tailored accurately to the local operational environment and activities.

Required KeySkill:

Experience in an industrial environment (aerospace is a plus)

Knowledge in Quality standards such as ISO9001, AS9100

Knowledge on Quality tools ( 8D/ FMEA / Risk Management / QRQC …)

Knowledge of specific aviation legislation (PART21G / PART145 …) is beneficial but not mandatory

Good team management skills

Interpersonal skills

Fluent English oral and written is required

Fluent in Kannada

Communication skills in a multicultural environment
