Job Description

About the Role:


We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Lead to build and drive the people function in an early-stage startup environment. This is a strategic and executional role for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and is excited to build HR systems, processes, and culture from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities: People Strategy & Culture


- Define and implement the companys people roadmap aligned with growth objectives.

- Foster a culture of trust, ownership, and innovation.

- Champion DEI initiatives and culture-building programs.


Talent Acquisition


- Own end-to-end recruitment for all functions, especially tech, product, and growth.

- Build a strong employer brand to attract top-tier talent.

- Set up scalable hiring processes, from sourcing to onboarding.


Performance & Development


- Design performance management frameworks suited for a fast-growing team.

- Drive learning & development initiatives and career pathways.

- Coach managers and team leads on feedback, performance conversations, and team dynamics.


People Ops & Compliance


- Set up and manage HR systems (HRMS, payroll, leave, benefits, etc.).

- Define and roll out policies on leave, remote work, reimbursements, etc.

- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.


What Were Looking For:


- 58 years of HR experience, with at least 2+ years in a startup or fast-growth environment.

- Strong exposure to both strategic HR and hands-on people operations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.

- Deep empathy, a high EQ, and a genuine passion for building a strong people-first culture.


Nice to Have:


- Experience setting up HR from scratch.

- Familiarity with modern HR tools (e.g., Keka, Darwinbox, Zoho People, or others).

- Previous experience hiring across tech and non-tech roles.
