At amazon you are provided ample opportunities to learn. you are given your own AWS account to learn and experiment and you are given difficult tasks to overcome.

Dislikes

1. Work life balance is terrible and management isn't bothered about it 2. The work you do at amazon has little or no value outside of amazon. Technologies are too specific to amazon 3. There is a lot of office politics at amazon which makes you wanna leave this place as soon as possible

- Work-life balance will take a serious hit. - Job security is worst here, even if you are doing well anytime you can be placed on focus and will be ultimately placed on PIP (Performance Improvement Program) - Company culture is way too bad. - For promotions they will tear you apart, you have to perform duties of the next role for at least 6 months before you get that role officially, if there is any miss you'll be PIPed. - It's mandatory now to come to office for 3days/week, else your promotion will be paused and you may get terminated....Read More

Steady stable work. Good for people settled into a routine. Depending on team some employees get exciting work but because of nature of company there is considerable reporting, dashboarding and other types of recurring work

Dislikes

Lack of new creative projects. During my own tenure we have rebuilt samt projects multiple times. Career growth can be strongly biased by how well you get along with your managers etc sometimes ignoring your dedicated effort
