With the exception of salary-related disparities that also exist within the hierarchical levels, the working environment at Amazon India is distressing. It lacks adequate work-life balance, necessitating the review of emails even late at night due to the centralized control from Seattle, which operates during typical sleep hours. The implementation of a somewhat arbitrary 14-point policy is noticeable, selectively enforced based on convenience. The quality of group meetings is subpar. The promotion of negative behavior among colleagues is encouraged, given that performance evaluations hinge not on assessments from superiors, but rather on appraisals from fellow employees, who concurrently serve as competitors.

...t place to work but things have changed now completely. Too much work pressure. Cost cutting.

Leave policies are so great. Employees are entitled to n times of Covid leaves. For eg:- If one is positive 3 times, then they are entitled to 14 days' leave each time they had covid. This is so far the best policy in the entire industry.

Salary is low as compared to other companies, but work-life balance is great.

I dislike about working at Amazon is the intense pressure and fast-paced environment, which can sometimes come at the expense of work-life balance. The expectations are high, and while that drives results, it can also lead to burnout. Additionally, the culture of frugality means resources and perks can feel limited compared to other big tech companies. Promotions and recognition can vary a lot by team, so your experience heavily depends on your manager and organization.

There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joiness.
