GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

...o vision, decisions aren’t sensible and at times speak of their arrogance. 2. Company work culture is TOXIC - and surely takes a toll on your mental health combined with a very average pay. This is the prime reason majority of the people left recently. 3. Everything is blame game. 4. Rules change by the second. 5. No established Engineering processes if you’re an experienced professional. 6. Their Product quality is virtually zero with almost all the things breaking so you will have to work hard 24*7 to improve it - later to be blamed for it not working properly. 7. Remote policy changed from compulsory 5 days office in a week as majority of the people started quitting. Read point 4 again. 8. They have unlimited leave policy - changed from an earlier generous leave policy. Here’s the twist - leaves aren’t sanctioned when you really need them. Point 4 again. Any rule the management thinks is even a tad in favour of the employees is changed and nullified. 9. Company promotions, appraisals and positions are all based on favouritism in the eyes of the founders. The work you do has no value whatsoever.

Found something new here to work, the startup culture is good, payments come on time, never every saw any delays with the exception of 1-2 days for which also they do announcements (check their slack announcement group if you join).

I found people too much expecting from their manager and founders considering unrealistic expectation like 50% hike and hikes every 6 month with no significant work output and play politics. Taking benefit of soft nature of founders intent.
