GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

The salary was decent.

Dislikes

This if for the dot net developers. The uncivilised and rowdy Team leader Wajihul Qumar is a nightmare. Even the HR departments do not take action despite numerous formal complaints against him. The managers Bhavesh Desai, Raghu Subramaniyan support him openly. The work life balance is non existent and the expectation is to work 12-14 hours along with 3+ hours of meetings with US employees. The timelines are beyond human decency. The name of Oracle is a nothing but an absolute hyped up disgust. They expect employees to be working at all times irrespective of times and holidays in order to satisfy clients. No proper training is provided to new employees for their roles.

...you good hike. I have seen people on the same post for years even if u put work. When you demand increased salary or any counter after getting job at another company, they don't even give you a matched offer and won't even try to retain you.

Free courses and certification. OFSS is like a college but no need to pay tuition fees because it's already being deducted from your non existing hikes and promotions. It's very good to sharpen your skills and then jumpship. It feels like they promote and want employees to resign. Not by firing , just extended exploitation. If you are a beginner , join , learn and jumpship after 1 year exactly, don't stay long. Same goes for laterals as well. Don't expect much.

No growth . Peanut hikes (3-5%) . No promotion even after staying for 3 years , delivering everything , taking ownership and being available almost all the time when required. Manager talks cringe when asked about hikes . HRs are basically like govt office workers , just do paper work .
